As I read Never Without Hope my heart wept. I could see the pitfalls that both Hope and James were falling into, I could see the lies they allowed themselves to believe and I could see the enemy apaulading their demise. This story proves that couples need to be considerate of each other's need. They need to be open and honest with each other and not so quick to get defensive. At times we may not like what are spouse says to us, but we must be willing to listen. And don't let the bait of satan take hold of your marriage.

This book should be used in couples counseling. It is amazing and I'm overwhelmed at how Michelle Sutton captured the emotions of each character. I could see things from each person's point of view. Most of all it was the love shown to them by others that had my heart singing the most. I highly and strongly recommend this book.

Definitely edgy Christian fiction! To be frank, I had a difficult time connecting with the main character when she was in the midst of her sin. I just didn’t like it. Even so, the writer did an excellent job of showcasing her inner turmoil as she struggled against temptation. I believe an author has done their job when the reader gets angry about the story line. Either they don’t like a character, they don’t like what is happening to the character, or they don’t like what the character is doing. This means the reader is invested in the character, and that’s a good thing.
Once things spiraled out of control, I became enthralled with the character’s journey to redemption and restoration. Never without Hope is a realistic portrait of God’s imperfect people, made perfect in His love. This story is relatable, uplifting, and encouraging. I am excited to find Christian fiction filled with realistic characters with real world problems. I would recognize this book to anyone looking for good fiction.

I hadn't planned on reading this book in a day. I thought I'd read a couple of chapters and then head on over to sleep.

Yeah, well, that didn't happen. In fact, this book kept me going page after page. Hope's story is one that I'm sure many of us have just in various degrees. I love the fact Sutton did not shy away from a hard topic many folks in the Church are scared to talk about. With an honest pen, she details one's woman's fall from grace and her rise from disgrace. But it's not a cookie cutter. It's a hard road, with all kinds of bumps, pot holes, wild animals, and roadkill. I mean, I can't really say too much about it.

I like the character Hope and how she's so open and honest with the reader from the start. Her son was almost too good to be true but then I have to remember children are more insightful than we give them credit for. At any rate, a very good read!
I had the privilege of reading Never without Hope by Michelle Sutton and I have to say I went from thinking that I am not sure if I would read more from her to I think I will.
I always tell people that I don't like reading fairy tales...well this is not. It is very descriptive but once I got to the back half of the book I realized it was necessary.
There are no spoilers here...a must read book in my opinion.
Hope and her husband James have been happily married for 11 years and have 1 son. They have their family, church family and jobs. They thought they could not have or ask for anything more until the last 5 or 6 months as James has not had any romantic interest in Hope. To the point of pushing her away. He will not seek help nor discuss it with Hope.
Hope is 35 and James is closer to 50 so she has tried to be understanding knowing that older men have those issues but also knowing that it is treatable. But the fact that he won't talk to a doctor has her very frustrated. She loves her husband but has to wonder as a Christian couple why her husband is not thinking about her needs and trying to rectify the situation.
Hope finds herself in the middle of a situation that puts her family in jeopardy in the pursuit of trying to satisfy her needs.
Ms. Michelle Sutton has taken the topic of infidelity and shed light on it from all angles. As I said the descriptiveness of the first half of the book was necessary for the back half of the book. You had to go through the entire process to understand the healing. Loved it!!!
